PIP Land Family—Founders of PIP
David and Brenda consider PiP their mission and it has taken their entire family to make it a reality. There are many PIP coaches, parents, and PIPs who have joined this PIP FAMILY without whom PiP would not be possible.
Co-Founders David and Brenda Land
David—MEd in Jr. College Edu.
Brenda—MS in Athletic Adm.
David has coaching credentials that include
*2 teams to the Texas State Tournament
*6th place (out of 32) finish in the NJCAA National Junior College Tourney
*1st team from Texas A&M Kingsville to make it to the the Div II Elite Eight
Brenda has been the head coach at three high schools but spent most of her coaching career as David’s assistant.
Their belief in PIPs and their desire to help kids is so strong that their coaching careers took a back seat so they could keep the PIP program going.
Angie and Russell Best Angie Land Best has been a PIP since PIP started. She enjoyed working with PiPs through school but after getting her degree in kinesiology she made PIPs her life commitment. Fortunately she married Russell, a basketball coach who understands basketball and the life lessons PiP teaches. Russell led his basketball team to the Texas State Tournament in 2016. Their oldest son Jarrell is now a PiP Old Timer and is the only PiP to spin 10 balls. Their other son Cortt and daughter Allie are currently PiPs in their local PiP group.
Dixie and Bryan Pauler Dixie Land Pauler and husband Bryan worked full-time for PIP for years until Bryan pursued his true passion, coaching baseball. Dixie teaches kindergarten. They both continue to help with the PIP program when needed. PIPs will recognize their oldest son Bryce from the PIP videos. Their other sons Lance and Trace are PiP Old Timers.
Brett and Lacey Land PiP was born before Brett and he never had a choice but to be a part. He was the youngest PiP to go on the performance tour to Australia and one of the handful of PiPs to spin 6 basketballs. He is now an attorney in Dallas and donates his time to PIP for any legal matters. He and wife Lacey look forward to the day when their baby son Wolfgang will be a PiP.
